Rome Fortune might just be one of the most interesting artists among Atlanta’s new wave of musicians. His image partially falls into the confines of ATL flagrance typified by artist like ILOVEMAKONNEN and Young Thug, but there’s diversity in his braggadocios rapping that you won’t find anywhere in Noisey’s ATLANTA series. He has a unique kind of attitude that means he can have an aquatic blue beard, have a fade that ends in bleached dreadlocks, and wear a sleeveless turtleneck at the same time without ever needing to justify himself.

‘Leaders’, his second collaboration with Four Tet after ‘Lights Low’, is frenetic and positive with too hard of a beat to be construed as preachy, and also comes with a new app (because it’s fucking 2015).
